It was during my 2nd trip to the Chicago Pipe Show in 2010 that the idea for iBriar started to ferment. It took 2 years for the first rendition of iBriar.com to go live in 2012. Two revisions, and a long hiatus later, I am happy to finally relaunch iBriar.com, in 2022.
"I would add an 'about' page. Describe what you do for legitimacy. I know you're the real deal, but a stranger might not." Taking the advice from a brother of the briar, let me tell you a bit about me.
In my other professions, I am a musician and a music teacher; but here at iBriar, I am the pipe-geek proprietor who:
1. Select pipes that I think you will love that deserve a place in your collection;
2. Take photos of said pipes in ways that I feel best represent them;
3. Showcase them on this amazingly easy-to-navigate, simple, and elegant (if I do say so myself) website; for you to
4. purchase at a reasonable price.
I can't promise the updates will happen like clockwork. In all honesty, they will probably seem rather sporadic. (There actually is a system if you care to figure it out. In fact, if/when you figure out my activity schedule, email me at chris@ibriar.com, and a prize will be mailed to you if you are correct.) But I can promise to always include great pipes that are interesting in their own ways in each update.
I am generally camera-shy, but someone at smokingpipes.com snapped a picture of me at the Chicago Show 2016.
Thanks for taking the time to read. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about an item or about me, I am always happy to hear from you.
Chris
